Interactive Maps for the Jefferson Tour of Paris

This book was one of my early favorites when I began to study about and visit Paris. From it, you can get a real sense of the comparison of what you are looking at--broad avenues, modern buildings--with what existed before the huge changes in the uprorious 1800s. With this book one begins to really understand Paris as a living, changing city. Beautifully written, a classic of Paris literature.
This is absolutely my bible for Paris maps. It's French (Michelin) but the map keys are translated to six languages. It has what you need: detailed street maps, taxi stations (very important), airport maps, park maps (don't forget to air out the kids), city bus maps, and suburban trains (e.g. to Versailles, very cheap). It's what Parisians use.
A slender, small form guide with pull-out maps showing the locations of all major attractions, including museums, parks, restaurants & cafés, tearooms and bars, theatres, shops and markets. Provides a map of the Métro and some hotel reocmmendations. Full color, succinct descriptions for a short visit. A Knopf Mapguide.
